Our MoonBlaze Flexible Replacement Hoop Wicks ("Flexi-wicks") are perfect for adding fire and burn time to your existing fire hoop. These fire wicks are 1.6 inches in diameter and 1 or 2 inches long and are firmly attached to a firm, but flexible, cable. The total length is 7 inches (the fire wick starts approximately 5 inches from the hoop when assembled). Works for hoops that accept 1/4 inch 20 threads-per-inch replacement wicks.

Flexible hoop wicks reduce hoop damage from drops and ground hits, and generally have a longer life than solid spines. Download the Flexible Fire Wick User Guide.

Pliers are a useful tool, but are unnecessary to attach the wicks to the hoop.

The majority of detachable-wick systems use 1/4 inch attachments.

I haven't seen perfect hoop wicks yet, but these are damned good. As ever, the moonblaze wicks are fantastic. The wicks themselves are extremely light, and when I use pliers, they stay in my hoop well. The only problem with them is that if you drop the hoop while doing a toss, they will kink (although it's not too hard to bend them back into shape). So far, these are the best hoops for intermediates I've seen.

I LOVE my new flexible spines! I've been using the large solid spines for years now, and was happy with them but was ready for something lighter that would allow for more tricky stuff. These were exactly what I was looking for. I got the smaller wicks which are just the right amount of fire to be light weight, have plenty of awe factor and still give me room to play with it. And the flexibility of the spines is jus enough, they feel solid and stable but have some give if I hit the ground or myself. Thanks Fire Mecca! Another great tool!
