Our break-down practice staff comes with a center section that is covered in grip tape, providing plenty of area for contact. The BlazeLink Practice Staff is a combination of the BlazeLink Staff Adapter and BlazeLink Practice Endpieces.

Practice Endpieces absorb the shock of drops and get dirty and scraped up so that your fire staff and LED staff doesn't have to. Your LED staff and fire staff can be saved for show and performances.

The Practice Endpieces are also compatible with the BlazeLink Poi Torch and Swinging Torch Adapters.

The grip is great; very sticky so contact moves are easier. The staff rattles a bit when dropped, but this was expected. The staff seems pretty sturdy in most respects. The only exception is that after numerous drops the ball endpieces seem to have moved slightly off center. This means that it wobbles a bit if I roll it on the floor, but has no effect whatsoever on me doing staff moves. I would recommend getting the breakdown only if you need to travel with it (I do). It's about as expensive to buy this and two fire heads as it is to buy two solid staffs.
