The Fire Mecca Rope Dart is made of 1/4-inch black cotton rope, with a ball-bearing swivel attached to twist link chain for attaching the head. The fire attachment is a cylindrical MoonBlaze head, which has added weight. Size medium is 3 inches long (approximately 4.5 ounces) and large is 4 inches long (approximately 6 ounces). The fire head is detachable, allowing for other styles to be tried, or for a practice head to be attached. Weighted Practice Poi heads make suitable practice rope dart attachments.

For beginners, a good starter length is found by measuring the distance between your hands, with arms held out at either side, and adding this to the distance between one hand held out to the side to the ground. Alternatively, twice the height of the user can be used as starting point.

Rope Darts have many siblings and go by other names: chain dart, single headed meteor hammer, etc.

Any total length up to 16 feet can be chosen.

With the new rope, these are even better than before. A lightweight cotton rope that slides through your hand, and wraps up easily. It bends with no resistance, making more advanced moves easier. And being cotton instead of kevlar it's much less an irritant for wraps. The rope has a small amount of stretch to it, just enough to absorb shocks and not enough to mess up the length of shots. It also coils up small enough I can carry it in my BDU cargo pockets, which is a plus.

This is an awesome rope dart! A friend of mine ordered one and after one morning of playing with hers I was hooked, I had to get my own. The weight was really nice, it was easy to use and 3/4 inch rope was just right to make it easy to hold and perform with. The 9 foot rope seemed like a perfect length for me. I will say that I made quite a mess practicing with the fire head on, I can see the benefit to ordering a practice head.
