Edit -- I lost my first set, so I replaced them with the Moonblaze small 2" heads, and after using them for two years, I'm really happy with them! They can do most simple poi tricks, and the small wick is just right. I don't have the same problems with the grips burning, and they give off a good size flame and have a great burn time. Now I'm a huge fan of these! I did get used to the large links and the stiff finger loops. ------------------ Originally, I selected the Moonblaze medium 3" heads. For the weight of these, the finger loops are pretty tough and hard on my fingers. Would these soften up over time? The chain links are large, so they are uncomfortable when rolling them up into my hands. I would replace the chain that they came with and use much finer welded chain, like small dog leash chain. I'd also put another swivel between the chain and the finger loops for better movement. These things make a lot of fire. Huge fire, and they're really hot! Stalls are really uncomfortable with them. I probably should have gone with the smaller 2" heads. The grips started melting pretty quickly; with a slight breeze going on, I found I had to either keep them spinning or hold them above horizontal to prevent the flames from licking and burning the grips. They do have a great burn time though! I really like these props, and intend to continue using them, but I'm going to have to re-wrap the handle with something more heat-resistant, and I'll need to use gloves and sleeves.

My torch poi are Awesome! They look great, spin great, and was a killer addition to my show. I found that the small moonblaze wick worked great. And the grips were just right. Very happy with my Awesome purchase!!! Oh and also the Fire Breathing Bottle. Safety is a wonderful thing :) Great bottle!!

I absolutely love my torch poi! They add the versatility of three tools in one. I use them as poi for a quick beautiful feel, as torches for a slower more seductive flow, and they can also be attached with a quicklink and used as nun chucks. What a great tool for all spinners from beginners to the more advanced! I am buying more for other dancers!
