These welded stainless steel round rings are made of stainless steel, have a 3/4 in. inner diameter, and a 1/8 in. / 3mm thickness. These are the same rings that we use as the primary connection point for our standard poi attachment designs.

I used these as instructed in the fire braid tutorial provided by fire mecca. There is no chance of the loop breaking and even with the amount of fire that comes off the wicks, The metal hasn't seemed very hot post burn. Inexpensive and the right part for the job. I like that it results in less exposed metal than typical fire snakes which have the large metal head to secure the rope.
