Fire Mecca K2 knitted ropes are a blend of KEVLAR(R) and fiberglass, with fiberglass lending its high-operating-temperature propertoes, and KEVLAR(R) adding its tensile-strength characteristics. K2 rope is very stretchy and absorbent when loose, making it good for stationary props. It is also priced very well, making it useful in experimentation.

Fire Mecca K2 knitted ropes are sold by the foot in continuous lengths. All ropes measured tight off the roll. Loose measurements will be 10 percent shorter.

Using the 1/4" wick for eating/breathing torches. No problems so far, and the order showed up fast.

This is very good wick for the price, and only gave it four stars because it's not perfect for everything. I found it didn't work well for monkey fists, however for sinnet knots it works great. It's also a great replacement wick for tiki torches and the like. Another great thing about it is the small core that can be pulled out of scrap pieces and used for all sorts of stuff.

I use the 1/8" to make fire eating torches and it's *perfect*. Very tough and easy to work with.
