Our Contact Fire Staff is made of 3/4 in. hard anodized drawn 6061-T6 aluminum tubing. Dowel is inserted at the ends to add weight, reduce convection inside the tubing, and to resist dents and bends. Grip covers approximately 23 in. at the center of the staff, with holographic tape marking the center. This fabric-style grip is great for use with costumes and slightly damp skin.
Because the dowel inserts do not run all the way through the staff, the staff is more susceptible to bending with repeated dropped tosses. Additional reinforcement can be had by running dowel all the way through the staff.
The Fire Mecca Contact Fire Staff weighs approximately 1.8 lbs (.82 kg) and comes in lengths of 4 ft. (1.22 m), 4.5 ft. (1.37 m), and 5 ft. (1.524 m).
The Fire Mecca Contact Fire Staff comes with Medium (2 in. long), Large (3 in. long), or XL (4 in. long) wicks.
