Fire Mecca's premier bean bag poi are made of durable rip-stop nylon and perfectly weighted for practice. Fire Mecca Bean Bag Poi are among the best available for the serious poi spinner today. All colors fluoresce to some degree, with the Orange and Yellow fluorescing extremely strongly. Color selections are per individual poi (orange/yellow is one orange poi and one yellow poi).

This is a great set of poi for what it costs. I was somewhat surprised to see that the detachable tails use a zipper, rather than the standard velcro. Although unexpected, I have to say that I like the zipper, which makes putting on/taking off the tails much faster than any other set of tails-optional poi I own. The weight is decent, making them much easier to spin than tennis-ball-on-a-string varieties. I replaced the leashes with colecords and better swivels for tangle-free spinning, and a simple line of reinforcement stitching on the cloth tether makes them a very durable set. I have used a wide variety of poi sets, and I would not hesitate to recommend this one to any spinner looking for a low cost set of streamer poi.

The knots got loose within a week (and possibly undue), and the cloth strap attached to the bean bags became ragged and tore a bit in this span of time. Also, as with most cord attached poi I would imagine, there are lots of tangles. They swang wondefully though, and I liked that I didn't have to undue the knot to adjust them.

Fun, easy to use, a great beginner's tool! Only drawback is the loose slide knot used to control the length is a little too loose, but I just retied it as a standard knot and it works just fine.
